Four San Antonio stations are in the process of lineup changes.
At iHeartMedia Country “KJ 97” KAJA has moved Randy Carroll to afternoons. Carroll has been with KAJA since 1983 and part of its morning show from 1984 until 2018. When the station added the Bobby Bones Show for mornings in August 2018, Carroll and co-hosts Jaime Martin and JoJo moved to 9am to 12pm with JoJo exiting in 2020. Martin, who had been co-hosting with Carroll and then hosting 12-3pm solo, will now host 10am-3pm.
Kyle Anthony, who hosted afternoons on KAJA in addition to his role as Program Director of the station, has moved to afternoons at AC “Q101.9” KQXT replacing WNCI Columbus’ Chris Davis.
Univision Hip Hop “98.5 The Beat” KBBT Schertz has made a morning show change as Music Director/afternoon host Jaime ‘Hammburger’ Valenzuela moves up to the wake up slot. Hammburger has been with KBBT for two decades and now replaces the “Rick and Carmen” show hosted by Raul ‘Rico’ Colindres and his “Carmen” alter-ego after just nine months in mornings.
Cox Media Group Country “Y100” KCYY is seeking a new morning host to join Beth Boehm as ‘Big Joe’ Pesh is planning to exit next week with Country Aircheck reporting that he his relocating to Michigan to take care of his ailing mother and grandmother.
