Jay Hanson’s Mix Maine Media has agreed to operate Port Broadcasting’s two AMs and three translators in Bangor ME via Time Brokerage Agreement with an option to buy.
With the TBA, both stations have flipped to simulcasts of the buyer’s stations. AC “94.1/95.1 The Wave” 1340 WBAN Veazie/94.1 W231CH Bangor/95.1 W236DP Bald Mountain is now simulcasting the similarly formatted “107.9 The Mix” WFMX Skowhegan/Augusta. Oldies 1230 WGUY Veazie/96.1 W241CP Bangor has flipped to a simulcast of Classic Country “True Country 93.5” WCTB Fairfield.
The Time Brokerage Agreement is for a five year term. The deal includes an option to purchase the stations outright for $225,000. Mix Maine Media also owns Sports “1160 The Score” WSKW Skowhegan. Pete Falconi’s Port Broadcasting retains “Seacoast Oldies 104.3” 1220 WWSF/104.3 W282CS Sanford ME.
