Mike ‘Moose’ Smith Joins Max Media Norfolk As Operations Manager

Max Media Norfolk Virginia Beach DenverMax Media Norfolk has announced the addition of Mike ‘Moose’ Smith as Operations Manger.

Smith, who had just joined East Carolina Radio Group AC “96.7 The Coast” WKJX Elizabeth City NC as morning host earlier this month, previously worked for Max Media as a General Manager, on-air host, and Regional VP for the company’s Eastern North Carolina, Arkansas and Illinois stations spending fourteen years co-hosting mornings at “Beach 104” WCXL Kill Devil Hills NC when the company owned it. He has also previously worked on-air in Raleigh and Norfolk with stints in the market at 92.9 WFOG, 95.7 WVKL, and 101.3 WWDE.

Smith takes the OM duties that had been held by Eddie Haskell until his departure in July.

Max Media Hampton Roads is proud to announce the return of Mike “Moose” Smith to the Max Media family. Effective immediately, Smith will be taking over the role of Operations Manager for the Hampton Roads cluster.

Moose remarked, “I am stoked to be rejoining the Max Media family in Norfolk. These radio stations are legendary, and the team Keith has assembled is fantastic. I am honored to be asked to join this team and I can’t wait to get started!” Smith, who has 20+ years of experience with Max Media including stops in the company’s North Carolina, Virginia, Arkansas, and Illinois clusters is a graduate of East Carolina University and will formally take over the position on Monday, Sept 26th.

Max Media’s Norfolk-Virginia Beach properties include Country WGH-FM (97.3 The Eagle), AC WTWV (92.9 The Wave), Urban Adult Hits WVBW (100.5 The Vibe), WVSP (ESPN Radio 94.1) and WGH-AM (Money Talk 1310).
