Mike Missanelli Returns To 97.5 The Fanatic

Mike Missanelli 97.5 The Fanatic WPEN-FM PhiladelphiaAfter departing the station following a fourteen year run in afternoons at the end of May 2022, Mike Missanelli is returning to Beasley Media Sports “97.5 The Fanatic” WPEN-FM Burlington NJ/Philadelphia on Monday, August 12.

Missanelli will host middays from 10am-2pm with Bill Colarulo, who joined the station as a fill-in host in January, will serve as a co-host. Missanelli had originally joined WPEN in 2008 when it was still “950 ESPN“. Beginning his career as a writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer, he also had a long run in middays at 610 WIP and hosted a Sports talk show on Rock 93.3 WMMR.

“I am excited to welcome Mike back to the Fanatic,” said Station Program Director, Scott Masteller. “I know that both previous and new listeners will be anxious to hear his insight and perspective on Philadelphia Sports.”

Ahead of the return of Missanelli, WPNE-FM cut ties with midday host Bob Cooney earlier this week. Cooney joined the station in September 2017 as morning co-host following a 25 year run at the the Philadelphia Daily News mostly as a 76ers beat reporter. He has been hosting middays since WPEN-FM’s lineup revamp in March.
