Cumulus Media has appointed Mike ‘Jagger’ Thomas as Program Director of Kansas City’s CHR “95.7 The Vibe” KCHZ Ottawa KS and Rock/Alternative “X105.1” Garden City.
Jagger most recently programmed iHeartMedia CHR “Kiss 95.7” WKSS Hartford from 2016 until last fall. He spent twelve years in the dual role of Music Director of “Z100” WHTZ and night host at 103.5 WKTU New York from 2004 to 2016. He has also served as MD at 97.1 KZHT Salt Lake City, APD/MD of 102.3 WCKZ Fort Wayne, MD of “KC 101” WKCI New Haven, “Star 104.1” WYOK Mobile, “Hot 97.3” WEDA Birmingham and “Hot 101” WHOT-FM Youngstown.
He has also hosted the syndicated Weekend Throwdown with Jagger since 2001.
In addition to programming the two stations, Jagger will host afternoons at KCHZ. He fills the slot currently held by Mike O’Reilly, who is exiting to join his family business outside of radio.

Jagger was previously Program Director for WKSS-FM (Kiss 95.7) in Hartford, CT, and has been an on-air personality at stations including WKTU-FM (103.5 KTU) and WHTZ-FM (Z100) in New York City; KZHT-FM (97.1 ZHT) in Salt Lake City, UT; and WNOW-FM (Radio Now 93.1) in Indianapolis, IN, among others. He is also the creator and host of the award-winning radio show, The Weekend Throwdown With Jagger, distributed by Sun Broadcast Group. In 2018, the show was named “Best Syndicated Show” at the Promo Only Summer Sessions Awards.
