Lotus Communications has announced the hiring of Mike Abrams as Regional Director of Programming overseeing their stations in Bakersfield CA and Seattle.
Abrams has spent much of the past two decades in satellite and streaming with over a decade at XM and SiriusXM as Senior Director of Music Programming and Director of Operations for Radio One’s channels in XM’s early days, Digital Music Programming Coordinator for iHeartRadio from 2012-2014, and Station Curator and Music Manager for TuneIn from 2016-2019. He previously programmed CHR “95.5 The Beat” WBTS Atlanta, was OM for Cox Radio Birmingham and PD of Adult R&B “98.7 Kiss-FM” WBHK, Programming Coordinator at WQHT New York, APD of “Power 92” KKFR Phoenix, and worked in the research departments at WAPP and WHTZ New York.
Abrams will oversee Conservative Talk 570 KVI, News 1000 KOMO/97.7 KOMO-FM, and Hot AC “Star 101.5” KPLZ in Seattle and Classic Hits “Q92.1” KQKZ, Regional Mexican “La Ley 96.5” KPSL, Regional Mexican “Radio Lobo 102.9” KIWI, Ranchero “El Gallito” 1010 KCHJ, and Spanish Sports “Tu Liga” 1490 KWAC in Bakersfield.
