Michelle Beadle & Cody Decker Join Mad Dog Sports Radio

SiriusXM’s “Mad Dog Sports Radio” (channel 82) has announced the addition of a new 12-3pm Eastern/9am-12pm Pacific show hosted by Michelle Beadle and Cody Decker.

Beadle currently serves as host of an NBA show for FanDuel TV and special correspondent for the San Antonio Spurs. She has previously been an anchor for ESPN hosting NBA Countdown, SportsNation, Get Up!, and the network’s NBA coverage, at NBC hosting NFL Kickoff, and reporter and host for YES Network. A former professional baseball player, Decker has also hosted a podcast for Audacy with his wife Jennifer Sterger and has done work for Fox Sports 1, MLB Network, Bally Sports and Stadium.

“Beadle & Decker” will replace “Dog Days” hosted by Danny Kanell and Dusty Dvoracek. The duo will remain with SiriusXM hosting mornings on SiriusXM College Sports Radio (channel 84), which will expand an hour to run from 6-9am.

Also at Mad Dog Sports Radio, morning host Evan Cohen announced his exit from the channel’s “Morning Men” ahead of his reported move to mornings at ESPN Radio.

SiriusXM today announced the launch of a brand-new daily show on its acclaimed Mad Dog Sports Radio channel. Starting Tuesday, August 22, popular media personality Michelle Beadle and former major leaguer Cody Decker will host Beadle & Decker every weekday in the channel’s noon-3pm ET/9 am – noon PT timeslot.

Mad Dog Sports Radio is SiriusXM’s exclusive all-sports talk channel and is available to listeners nationwide in their cars (channel 82) and on the SXM App.

“I’ve been an avid listener to Mad Dog Sports Radio for so long that getting the opportunity to join the lineup and talk all sports, everyday, is as good as it gets,” said Beadle. “Cody is ok, too.”

“’Mad Dog’ is a name that’s been registering on the sports landscape Richter Scale for years. I’ve been a listener and fan since day one on SiriusXM,” said Decker. “Having the chance to share the airwaves with a daily lineup like this, not to mention to work with a cohost the caliber of Michelle, is something I had only dreamed of. After all these years, she FINALLY gets to work with a complete professional like me.”

“Michelle and Cody bring a tremendous level of energy and passion to the mic, which our listeners will love,” said Eric Spitz, VP of Sports Programming, SiriusXM. “Beadle & Decker is an outstanding addition to Mad Dog Sports Radio and their strong personalities and opinions will help us continue to deliver the best all-sports talk channel to listeners across the country.”

In Michelle Beadle’s distinguished and multi-faceted career she has covered everything from the major sports, to bull riding, to celebrity red carpets. During her time at ESPN, she hosted ESPN’s NBA Countdown, SportsNation, and Get Up!, and led all the company’s pregame and halftime shows for the NBA Finals, the Conference Finals, NBA Playoffs, and NBA regular season. She also hosted NFL Kickoff on NBC, served as a reporter and host for the YES Network covering the Yankees and Nets, and covered the Golden Globes and Grammy Awards for People Magazine. Currently, she is the host of FanDuel TV’s NBA show called Run It Back and is a special correspondent for the San Antonio Spurs. A native of Boerne, Texas, Michelle is a graduate of University of Texas-San Antonio.

Cody Decker was drafted by the San Diego Padres out of UCLA in 2009. He distinguished himself as a power hitter at every level of the minor leagues and made his major league debut with the Padres in 2015. Decker also played for Team Israel in the 2017 World Baseball Classic, and would continue his pro career with the Royals, Rockies, Red Sox, Brewers, Mets and Diamondbacks before retiring in 2019. After stepping away from the field, in addition to his work on SiriusXM, Decker’s media career has seen him appear on Fox Sports 1, MLB Network, Bally Sports and Stadium. Decker grew up in Santa Monica, California.

Beadle & Decker replaces Dog Days in the Mad Dog Sports Radio lineup. Dog Days hosts Danny Kanell and Dusty Dvoracek have chosen to scale back on their daily on-air schedule. They will remain with SiriusXM and continue to host their daily show on the SiriusXM College Sports Radio channel, Dusty and Danny in the Morning, which will expand by an hour every weekday morning to air 6-9 am ET (SiriusXM channel 84).

“Dusty and Danny are an excellent team, and they continue to be an important part of the SiriusXM family,” said Spitz. “Our listeners will continue to hear them regularly on SiriusXM College Sports Radio, sharing their insights into what’s happening on the field, as well as the many intriguing storylines happening now in college sports away from the field of play.”
