Former 880 WCBS New York afternoon co-anchor Michael Wallace is joining CBS News Radio as an anchor.
Wallace spent nineteen years at WCBS from 2005 until the station signed-off at the end August. He previously anchored “Wall Street Journal This Morning” from 2000-05, was managing editor and anchor for WDBO Orlando, and held anchor/reporter roles at KTRH Houston, WTNY Watertown NY, and WKRT Cortland NY in his career.
He shared on LinkedIn, “Thrilled to announce I have joined the CBS News Radio Network as an anchor. The list is long, but I want to thank everyone who gave me their time and invaluable advice since the plug was pulled on WCBS 880 three months ago. Talk to you soon on one of more than 400 affiliates. And if you’re hiring, please remember my former 880 co-workers who are multi-talented and thrive under tight deadlines.”
