Melissa Chase Rises To Audacy Houston VP/Programming

Melissa Chase 100.3 The Bull KILT-FM Mix 96.5 KHMX 95.7 The Spot KKHH Audacy HoustonAudacy has promoted Melissa Chase to Vice President of Programming for its Houston cluster as she adds programming duties for Country “100.3 The Bull” KILT-FM to her existing role programming Variety Hits “95.7 The Spot” KKHH and Hot AC “Mix 96.5” KHMX.

Chase joined the cluster in June 2021 after previously serving as Operations Manager for SummitMedia Richmond and morning host on Hot AC “103.7 Your Variety“ WURV. She had been PD/morning host at WURV since 2010 through its incarnation as Adult Alternative “103.7 The River“, 2013 flip to Hot AC “103.7 Play“, through its relaunch in March 2021 as “103.7 Your Variety“. She also served as Operations Manager for SummitMedia Richmond since from 2016-2021 and Program Director of “Classic Rock 96.5” WKLR. Chase previously spent a decade at CHR “Q94” WRVQ Richmond rising to morning co-host and APD/MD.

She succeeds John Foxx leading the programming for KILT-FM following Foxx’s move back to New York as PD/morning host at Classic Hits 101.1 WCBS-FM.

Audacy promotes Melissa Chase to Vice President of Programming for Audacy Houston. In this elevated role, Chase will oversee programming efforts for 100.3 The Bull (KILT-FM), Mix 96.5 (KHMX-FM) and 95.7 The Spot (KKHH-FM). She will also lead strategy and promotions for the market’s full portfolio of stations.

Chase joined Audacy in 2021 as Brand Manager for Mix 96.5 and 95.7 The Spot. Prior to that, she spent 12 years with SummitMedia/Cox Media Group as Operations Manager and on-air personality, creating and implementing strategies to improve and grow brands for six radio stations. Other previous roles include talent for iHeartMedia (various stations including Richmond, New Haven, Harrisonburg, Miami, Houston and XM21), as well as production development for MTV Networks/Viacom and voiceover acting.
