Townsquare Media Country 106.5 WYRK Buffalo NY has added Megan Carter as afternoon host.
Carter most recently co-hosted the Earl David Reed Show on iHeartMedia Hot Talk “Radio 95.1” WAIO and tracked nights on “Country 100.5” WDVI Rochester until March. She has also served as Music Director and night, afternoon and morning co-host during her decade at Entercom CHR “98 PXY” from 2008 to 2018 and afternoon host at iHeartMedia CHR “Kiss 106.7” WKGS in Rochester.
With the addition of Carter to WYRK, Dave Fields has moved to mornings at Soft AC “96.1 The Breeze” WMSX. Fields had been with WYRK since the start of 2019 after previously nine months in mornings at WMSX under its former “Mix 96” identity. The Buffalo native has also held programming and on-air roles in Evansville IN, Panama City FL, Myrtle Beach SC, Dover DE, and Meridian MS. He also spent four years hosting nights at Hot AC “Star 102.5” WTSS Buffalo from 2002-2006.
At WMSX, Fields fills the slot that had been held by Joe Chille until his “retirement” last October before subsequently moving to Oldies “Big WECK” 1230 WECK and its network of translators.
Excited to celebrate wrapping up my first afternoon show on the legendary @1065WYRK in Buffalo. Excited to do it again tomorrow, & for all of the days to come. pic.twitter.com/QwCItKtLVz
