iHeartMedia CHR “Kiss 108” WXKS-FM Medford/Boston has announced the addition of Mike ‘McCabe’ Kerr as Programming Operations Lead and midday host.
KcCabe will continue in his previous role as CHR Executive Producer for iHeart’s National Programming Group. Prior to moving to the national team in November 2020, he spent ten months as PD/afternoon host of “Z104.3” WZFT Baltimore and before that at “Z107” WERZ Portsmouth NH. He also worked as PD/Morning host at Saga Communications CHR “Z95.5” WFIZ Ithaca NY and has worked at Entercom CHR’s WPXY Rochester and WKSE Buffalo and multiple stations in the Elmira market both on-air and in engineering.
His arrival in Boston fills the midday opening created by the departure of Romeo in early September.
HeartMedia Boston’s Kiss 108, “Boston’s #1 Hit Music Station,” announced today that McCabe will host mid-days. McCabe will also be Kiss 108 Programming Assistant, working alongside Kiss 108 PD Dylan Sprague and APD Mikey V, and continue his role of CHR Executive Producer and assist in various CHR brand team projects for the National Programming Group.”
McCabe has made career stops in Elmira, Buffalo and Rochester, and had Program Director duties at four previous stations, including Z107 in Portsmouth, NH and Z104.3 in Baltimore. McCabe joined Kiss 108 staff in 2018, contributing to Kiss 108 for the last four years, two of which he also worked for the iHeartRadio National Programming Group.
