A pair of once dominant personalities who exited their last jobs under inauspicious circumstances are teasing their returns.
Don Geronimo, who was fired from mornings at iHeartMedia Classic Rock “Big 100” WBIG-FM Washington DC over comments directed towards WUSA-TV reporter/anchor Sharla McBride while both were broadcasting from Washington Commanders training camp in July, has shared that he is free of his contractual obligations to the company and his return to the radio is imminent.
Best day I’ve had since July 27. Return to the radio is imminent. Thx

McBride is also moving on as she has stated she will be departing WUSA-TV in the coming weeks.
Matty Siegel, who hosted mornings at iHeart CHR “Kiss 108” WXKS-FM Boston for 41 years until an abrupt pre-recorded retirement in May 2022, also is teasing a return. On an Instagram post over the weekend, Siegel wrote, “Forget the podcast… I’m coming back to Boston! Stay tuned! ”. Siegel had previously stated he was planning to launch a podcast this month. While that may portend a return to radio, Siegel has also done annual theatre shows in Boston including one last year after his departure from WXKS-FM.
