Mark Shecterle Joins Cox Tulsa As VP/Market Manager

Mark Shecterle Cox Media Group TulsaCox Media Group has appointed Mark Shecterle as VP/Market Manager for its Tulsa cluster.

Shecterle joins Cox from NRG Media Omaha where he has served as Market Manager since December 2018. He previously spent his entire career in Houston rising from Promotions Director of 104.1 KRBE starting in 1988 to Marketing Director until becoming General Manager from 2000 to 2006. He then served as Director of Sales for Westwood One and then Total Traffic & Weather, and Radio One Houston before a stint at United States Traffic Network prior to joining NRG Media.

Cox Media Group (CMG) today announced Mark Shecterle was named the Vice President & Market Manager of CMG Radio in Tulsa, effective April 10. Mark will oversee all of CMG’s radio stations in the market, including K95.5 Tulsa, 102.3 KRMG, Mix 96.5 Tulsa, and 103.3 The Eagle.

Mark launched his 35-year career with Susquehanna Radio in Houston where he held several roles, including VP/GM of Marketing and Sales. His career continued to progress from Director of Sales with Westwood One, General Sales Manager of Radio One, then Vice President of Sales for United States Traffic Network. Most recently, Mark served as the Market Manager for NRG Media in Omaha, NE.

Mark graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and a minor in Business. He’s also been a pillar in his community. He served on the board of the Advertising Education Foundation of Houston and was a member of Houston Advertising Federation and the American Women in Radio & TV.
