MARC Radio has promoted Jerry Butler to Market Manager for their Gainesville/Ocala FL stations.
Butler joined MARC in August 2020 as Local Sales Managers. He had spent six years as VP/Sales for MusicMaster Inc. after a stint as Director of Programming for the University of Florida’s commercial and non-commercial broadcast properties in the market from 2011-2014 and adjunct lecturer for the university’s radio management classes until 2019. He has also been Market Manager for Townsquare Billings MT, Cumulus Albany GA, Williams Broadcasting Enid OK and KEYB Media Specialties Altus OK and worked on-air at KATT Oklahoma City.
Just 14 months after coming on board to lead the local sales team at MARC Radio, broadcast veteran Jerry Butler has been promoted to market manager for the growing Gainesville/Ocala radio entity. The announcement was made by Dave Cobb, executive vice president for MARC Media.
The predominant owner of radio stations serving the North Florida region, MARC Radio both owns and operates stations with a strategic mix of formats including Country, R&B, Rock, Hip-Hop, and Christian Teach/Talk at 8 stations, including Orlando.

Butler formerly served as vice president of sales at Music Master and served on the faculty at the University of Florida. A graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma and Western Oklahoma State College, he has advised and counseled stations nationwide on how to grow listenership and sales.
