After 22 years at Audacy CHR “Power 96” WPOW-FM Miami, Lucy Lopez has departed the station.
A 2015 Miami New Times profile states that Lopez was discovered by the station when she called in to rant against a host’s rant about girls from her native Hialeah leading her being hired to host overnights. She eventually rose to afternoons and then spent most of the past decade in mornings most recently alongside DJ Zog.
In her post announcing her departure, Lopez states there are major changes coming to WPOW-FM “and its time for your girl to move on”.
