Local Radio Support rolls out advertising revenue deal to all stations

Over 20 local radio stations are now taking part in a new revenue sharing deal from Local Radio Support.

LRS, founded by Phil England, John Dash and Dominic Barker, was set up last year to help the growing number of independent commercial and community stations, including those on small-scale DAB, with member discounts for key products and services.

Now they are offering to monetise online and app streaming with new access to national and regional advertisers in a deal that includes a partnership with RCS REVMA, compatible with most playout systems.

LRS already has over 20 radio stations signed up and playing out ad campaigns from the likes of BT, Domino’s and Tesco.

Dominic Barker, LRS Director said: “We are delighted to have this project live and generating revenue into local radio. One of our key aims when we launched was to find a way to offer commercial support to independent stations and this is a huge step towards that.

“Paying out money has never felt so rewarding as it will enable new investment into production, innovation and creativity for local audiences. I’m looking forward to seeing the positive impact this will have on local radio and beyond.”
