Rock 95 Ltd. is selling Alternative “Indie 88” 88.1 CIND-FM to Local Radio Lab Inc. for an undisclosed amount.
Local Radio Lab, led by Christopher Grossman, owns three other stations in Ontario: “FM 92” 92.1 CIMA-FM Alliston, “FM 101” 101.3 CJML-FM Milton, and “FM 101” 101.5 CKMO-FM Orangeville. All three feature AC formats paired with local news websites.
Local Radio Lab Inc. has announced that it has entered into an agreement to purchase INDIE88 (CIND-FM), pending CRTC approval.
INDIE88, currently owned by Rock 95 LTD, is a leader in the promotion of new emerging Canadian artists in Canada’s largest market. General Manager Megan Bingley and her team have created a premium radio property for both listeners and advertisers.
“We are thrilled that we are handing off the station to an independent voice with a commitment to continue the legacy of INDIE88 and the development of new emerging artists,” explains President Doug Bingley. “The combination of Christopher Grossman’s experience in the Canadian Digital Audio space and having over 40 years experience in the Toronto advertising radio market will ensure a strong forward plan for the station.”
It will join FM 101 Milton, FM 101 Orangeville, and FM 92 South Simcoe under the Local Radio Lab Inc. umbrella, pending approval.
