David Hertel’s Posey County Radio has begun operating The Original Company’s two stations in Mount Vernon IN via LMA and launched new formats on both earlier this week.
106.7 WYFX and 1590 WRCY had both been operating as “Fox Sports 106.7” targeting nearby Evansville as a rimshot. The FM has flipped to a Gold based AC as “106.7 WMVI“. It will continue to carry St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Indiana University and Mount Vernon High School football.
WRCY has launched its translator 98.9 W295AW Poseyville and has flipped to Classic Country “98.9 WPIW“. The moves takes the station back to the format it had prior to its 2016 flip to Sports. It will continue to carry North Posey High School football.
Posey County Radio is operating WYFX and WRCY via a $3000 per month LMA with an acquisition to be filed to acquire the two stations and some assets of The Innovation Center’s 90.1 WSDM Wadesville IN for $336,000.
