Lisa Adams Joins KPLZ As Program Director

Lotus Communications’ Hot AC “Star 101.5” KPLZ-FM Seattle has filled its Program Director opening with the appointment of Lisa Adams.

Adams will make her return to Seattle after spending the past 2+ years as PD/morning host at Cumulus Soft AC “Magic 97.9” KQFC Boise. She has previously programmed multiple stations in Seattle with stints leading Rhythmic AC “Movin 92.5” KQMV, 1980s Hits “96.5 The Point” KYPT, Modern AC “Click 98.9” KLCK, and Country “98.9 The Bill” KNUC. She has also served as Operations Manager for Townsquare Media Boise and programmed 107.5 Portland under multiple formats.

Adams fills the opening created by Kent Phillips’ retirement after 35 years at the helm of KPLZ. We expect additional announcements regarding new on-air hosts and potentially a rebranding to come shortly.

Lotus Seattle has appointed Lisa Adams as its new Program Director for Star 101.5 KPLZ. She most recently comes from Cumulus Media AC KQFC-FM (Magic 97.9)/Boise, ID, where she served as both Program Director and midday host.

Adams commented, “I’m incredibly grateful and so excited to be granted this opportunity to program KPLZ. This radio station has always held a special place in my heart. I can’t wait to get started doing amazing radio again in Seattle. As an added bonus, my family is from here and this gives us a chance to be closer to them.”

Adams is wildly passionate about live music, craft vodkas, and quality time with her family.
