Lee served as PD/midday host at WWCD from July 2020 until the station’s sign-off earlier this year. Her entire career has been spent in Rock formats with time as Program Director of “Modern Rock 98.7” WRMR Wilmington NC and AAA “105.5 The Bridge” WCOO Charleston SC (where she also hosted middays on “98 Rock” WYBB), Promotions Director for Adams Radio Salisbury MD and midday host at Classic Rock “Big 98.5” WGBG, afternoon host at KRAB Bakersfield CA, midday host at “97.3 The Brew” WQBW Milwaukee, morning co-host at “98 Rock” WXTB Tampa, plus in-game host and Marketing & Corporate Partnership Manager for minor league hockey South Carolina Stingrays.

She takes the slot that had been held by Rick McNeal from 1985 until health issues forced his retirement in July.

Cutter has been part of WAPL’s morning show since April 2021. He originally worked at WAPL from 1999 through 2002 before moving to sister Rock “Razor 94.7” WZOR until 2009 with time in afternoons and mornings and as Assistant Program Director. After three years at Midwest Communications’ Green Bay cluster he then returned to Woodward in 2012 as MD of both WZOR and WAPL and afternoon host at WZOR until his move to mornings at WAPL.

Cutter commented, “I’m excited to have someone here to truly help take this legendary radio station into the future with me in the mornings. Laura knows the music and understands the people, plus she’s willing to put up with me so that’s a good start.”

Lee added, “I’m glad I never got rid of my 32oz Truckers Mega Mug for coffee last time I did mornings. I haven’t had to wake up this early in a long time but I’m incredibly pumped to be joining the famed WAPL and looking forward to teaming up with Cutter for a new era of WAPL mornings. He knows the market, the audience loves him and he’s a pretty pleasant individual even at 5am in the morning.”

WAPL Brand Manager Joe Marroe stated, “Laura lives the WAPL lifestyle. She loves concerts, hockey, and football, specifically the Vikings, but I hope we can change that. Laura and Cutter have so many ideas, I cannot wait to see them come to life on the air.”

Finishing the run of comments, General Manager Kelly Radandt said, “I have loved 105.7 WAPL for the last 35 years because of our people like Rick, Len, Cutter, John, Ross, Karla, Roxanne, and many more. I look forward to loving it even more for the next 35 years; as we add Laura Lee to our team and continue doing what 105.7 WAPL does best… play kick-ass rock music and connect people.”
