Cumulus Media Sports 680 KNBR/104.5 KNBR-FM San Francisco has cut ties with longtime afternoon co-hosts Larry Krueger and Rod Brooks.
As first reported on Friday by The Athletic, remaining co-host Tom Tolbert will remain in place and be joined by 5-6am host Adam Copeland. Copeland was also producer of the “Murph & Mac” morning show hosted by Brian Murphy and Paul McCaffrey and hosts a podcast for The Athletic.
Krueger was on his second stint at KNBR as he rejoined the station in 2011 after previously hosting from 1997 to 2005 before being fired for racially insensitive comments. The former NFL and CFL scout also served as Sports Director for News/Talk 810 KGO after leaving KNBR the first time and has hosted shows for Sports By-Line USA, SiriusXM, and ESPN Radio.
Brooks had been with KNBR since the 1990s co-hosting shows in multiple dayparts during his tenure at the station.
