Two and a half years after exiting Salem Media, Larry Elder is returning to Salem’s national Conservative Talk lineup in his former 6-9pm Eastern/3-6pm Pacific timeslot.
Elder previously hosted the timeslot from 2015 until exiting in April 2022 for a failed gubernatorial campaign in California and a presidential campaign in 2023. He also hosted at 790 KABC Los Angeles from 1994 to 2008 and again from 2010 to 2014, while syndicated by ABC Radio Networks from 2002 to 2007. The timeslot was most recently held by ‘Officer’ Brandon Tatum.
The new version of his show will be a simulcast of his “Larry Elder – We’ve Got a Country to Save” podcast and will also air on Salem News Channel.
“By popular demand the watchman returns to his post,” commented Larry when asked about his return to radio. “Larry is one of a rare breed who actually grew in popularity and influence AFTER he departed the radio,” said Phil Boyce, Senior VP of Spoken Word for Salem Media Group. “Now we get to hear his sage words of wisdom daily on radio stations across the country, on Salem News Channel, and the Salem Podcast Network.”
“I started doing radio because I was inspired by Larry, so when the opportunity arose for Larry to come back to the radio, I was honored to make room for him like he did for me a few years ago,” said Brandon Tatum. “You will still be able to hear me on my YouTube channel, and everywhere else, and I will continue to be a fan of Larry Elder,” said Brandon.
