Travis Justice has departed mornings at iHeartMedia Sports 1460 KXNO/106.3 KXNO-FM Ankeny IA and its network across the state in order to join former co-host Ross Peterson on a new streaming show.

Justice and Peterson co-hosted “The Morning Rush” from 6-8am until Peterson exited in iHeart’s November layoffs. The new show, titled “The Rush with Travis & Ross” will air in the same timeslot on YouTube, Facebook, and X and are building an audio app for the show. Justice had been with KXNO since 2010 and Peterson had spent 21 years at the station until his exit. Both were also part of iHeart’s January 2020 layoffs but were quickly brought back after listener and advertiser backlash led to the six layoffs at the station to be reversed and the station adding its FM simulcast.

Justice told the Des Moines Register, “I don’t do this because it’s a full-time job. I want to do it because I love it and I love doing it with Ross. There’s been a hole in my heart and it’s going to be filled come Monday.”
