Townsquare Media has flipped Classic Hits “KUBC Gold” 580 KUBC/104.5 K283CZ Montrose CO to Classic Rock “KUBC The Canyon“.
The move creates a local competitor to MBC Grand Broadcasting’s “96.1 K-Star” KSTR, which while licensed to Montrose also focuses on the nearby larger Grand Junction market.
Bee Haddock, midday host at Country “94 Kix” KKXK, will add afternoons at KUBC. Townsquare’s national voicetracker Jen Hopkins will host middays.
