Audacy Rhythmic CHR “KS 107.5” KQKS Lakewood/Denver CO is the latest station in the company to move towards Rhythmic Throwbacks.
KQKS repositioned today as “Denver’s #1 For Throwbacks & Today” with the company stating, “Starting today at 1pm we’re throwing in more of The Throwbacks! The stars that helped build the legacy of KS, like Snoop Dog, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, DMX, and more, will once again take center stage on the radio station.”
The new presentation launched at 1pm today with the first songs heard being DMX “Party Up”, Snoop Dogg “Gin & Juice”, Sean Paul “Temperature”, Dr. Dre/Snoop Dogg “The Next Episode”, and Saweetie “NANi” . The shift at KQKS comes months after the closing of the sale of Max Media’s Rhythmic AC “Jammin 101.5” KJHM and Classic Hip Hop “Flo 107.1” KFCO in April left KQKS as the only Rhythmic station in the market.
Despite the loss of the competition, KQKS ranked 16th in the Denver market with a 2.2 share in the July 2024 Nielsen Audio ratings.
