KRXQ Adds Carlota For Middays

Audacy’s “98 Rock” KRXQ Sacramento has announced the addition of Carlota Gonzalez as midday host starting Monday, October 25.

Gonzalez joins KRXQ after spending 22 years at 92.3 KOMP Las Vegas until June 2020. She also operates the Kilpop Rock app. She fills the midday slot at KRXQ that had been held by Pat Martin until his move to mornings at sister Classic Rock “96.9 The Eagle” KSEG in July after 33 years on KRXQ.

Audacy welcomes Carlota as midday show host for 98 Rock (KRXQ-FM) in Sacramento. Carlota will be heard weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. PT, effective October 25.

“Carlota is one of the most passionate and dedicated true rock fans in our business,” said Stacey Kauffman, Regional Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Sacramento. “Her love and enthusiasm for both the music and the lifestyle explodes through the radio and makes that special connection with her audience that is increasingly rare these days. I’m so excited to welcome Carlota to our team.”

“After hanging out on the ‘beach’ for the last year working on my tan, I’m super excited to get back to work and back to Northern California where it all began, when I was a baby DJ in Fresno,” said Carlota. “98 Rock is a legendary rock station and I’m thrilled to be joining the Audacy family.”

Prior to joining 98 Rock, Carlota spent over 22 years on-air at KOMP-FM in Las Vegas. Carlota succeeds Pat Martin who, after 33 years in middays on 98 Rock, moved across the hall to host mornings on 96.9 The Eagle (KSEG-FM) this past July.
