Kroenke Sports & Entertainment has announced the promotion of longtime NFL executive Kevin Demoff to President of Team and Media Operations overseeing their portfolio of professional sports franchises and media operations.
Demoff, who has served as President and Chief Operating Officer of the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams since 2009, will now add oversight of the NBA’s Denver Nuggets, NHL’s Colorado Avalanche, MLS’ Colorado Rapids, NLL’s Colorado Mammoth, the company’s Outdoor Sportsman Group, and the company’s media properties including the Altitude Sports Network and their four radio stations in Denver: Sports “Altitude 92.5” KKSE-FM, Hot AC “Mix 100” KIMN, Classic Hits “Kool 105” KXKL, and Sports Betting 950 KKSE.
“When my father established KSE, it was with the vision of creating a global sports and entertainment organization which has championship standards across the board,” said KSE Vice Chairman Josh Kroenke. “As my father and I take KSE into this next chapter, we are thrilled to add to our executive team Mike and Kevin, two accomplished and passionate leaders both with a long history as part of the KSE family, to help us evolve our organization and better connect our properties not only here in Denver but across the world. Between transformative developments around our venues, the future of fan engagement through dynamic media offerings, and winning more championships, the future of KSE is bright and Kevin and Mike will help us set the standard to deliver for our community and our fans.”
Demoff will split his time between Los Angeles and Denver reporting to Chairman Stan Kroenke in Los Angeles and Vice Chairman Josh Kroenke in Denver. “I am honored and humbled to take on this role with KSE and I am grateful to Stan and Josh for this opportunity,” said Demoff. “I am excited to work with so many talented teammates who have helped KSE become the most influential sports and entertainment company in the world. With the goal of sustaining winning cultures and organizations that transcend the field, court, or ice, we will collaboratively build a best-in-class experience for our fans in Denver, Los Angeles, and around the globe.”
Prior to joining the then-St. Louis Rams in 2009, Demoff served as Director of Football Operations for the Arena Football League’s Los Angeles Avengers from 2000 to 2004 and was a Senior Assistant for the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2006-09. He fills the role in Denver that had been held by former EVP/COO Matthew Hutchings from 2013 until his resignation last month.
