Colorado Public Radio’s 91.5 KRCC Colorado Springs CO Station Manager Jeff Bieri will retire on December 31.
Bieri has been with KRCC since 1989 starting as a volunteer music host. During his tenure he hosted in every daypart including Morning Edition and All Things Considered, was Music Director, and then Program Director from 2004-2020. Upon the station’s partnership with Colorado Public Radio in 2020, he became Station Manager.
He commented, ““It has been a profound honor to work at KRCC and serve this community, and I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to our listeners and supporters. As I step away, I hope they will continue to champion KRCC and recognize the vital role it plays in our lives.”
CPR President/CEO Stewart Vanderwilt added, “As KRCC came into the CPR family of services, Jeff was the key connector and ambassador to elevate our service to Colorado Springs and to share the stories of southern Colorado across the state. His voice and presence will be missed, and he leaves a lasting legacy at the station.”
