Katlyn and David Grice’s Exciter Media has closed on its acquisition of “Coyote Country 92.7” KRSY-FM La Luz, Sports “ESPN 103.7” KNMZ Alamogordo, and Talk “Alamo 1230” KRSY/101.9 K270CS Alamogordo NM and made format changes at two of them.
KNMZ has dropped its Sports format and flipped to Classic Rock “Stealth Rock 103.7“. The station will feature Program Director Kelly Lynch in mornings, Ernesto Garcia in middays, and Monica Castillo in afternoons. The move brings back the heritage “Stealth” brand that was heard on KNMZ from its launch in 1996 until 2010.
Most of KNMZ’s former Sports programming has moved to 1230 KRSY/101.9 K270CS Alamogordo. KRSY retains a block of Talk programming from 6-11am but will feature Sports in other dayparts including a local hour from 2-3pm hosted by KRSY-FM PD/morning host Charles Winiecki. KRSY will also assume much of the play-by-play including local high school sports, New Mexico State University football and basketball, Dallas Cowboys football, and Arizona Diamondbacks baseball.
