Regional Media relaunched its recently acquired “Pickup Country” 1580 KNIM/95.9 K240DY Maryville MO as “I’m Country KNIM” on Monday, January 10.
The station will feature a new local morning show “The Breakfast Club” hosted by Don Burch and Trisha Deen. Shawn Parr’s “Across the Country” will be heard in afternoon and Bryan ‘B-Dub’ Washington’s “B-Dub Radio” at night. KNIM will feature a playlist stretching from the 1980s to now with core artists listed as Garth Brooks, Blake Shelton, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw and Jason Aldean.
The Iowa based Regional Media closed on its purchase of KNIM and Rock “97.1 The Vill” KVVL from Nodaway Broadcasting Company on January 1. Regional Media paid $50,000 for the pair in a deal that also sees them pay a $36,000 per year lease for fifteen years for the station’s studios and tower site and a fifteen year lease at $2277.78 per month for the associated equipment.
