Angelica Vale Cali 93.9 KLLI Los AngelesMeruelo Media Spanish CHR “Cali 93.9” KLLI Los Angeles has announced it has signed morning host Angelica Vale to a contract extension through the end of 2028.

She originally joined the station in October 2019 as midday host before quickly moving to mornings in January 2020. She came to KLLI after a long acting career including starring on the Telenovela “Y Mañana Sera Otro Dia Mejor” and voiceover roles on Netflix’ “Seis Manos” and the Spanish version of Disney’s “Coco”. She also starred in the Mexican production “Betty, La Fea” which was adapted into ABC’s “Ugly Betty”. Her upcoming projects include a movie co-starring with Rosalyn Sánchez, producing the Broadway show “Real Women Have Curves: The Musical” and hosting season two of Televisa-Univision’s music competition show “Juego de Voces”.

She will also collaborate with her husband, Meruelo Media President & CEO Otto Padron, and Head of Audio Brands Pio Ferro on new projects. Vale said, “Radio has been a key part of my career all my life. It’s where I learned how to truly connect with people, and I love the unique way it allows me to connect with our listeners. Huge thanks to Alex Meruelo, Luis Armona, and the entire Meruelo Media family for their continued belief in me. And a special shout-out to my incredible on-air crew — the best team in radio — for making the La Vale Show such a blast on and off the mic, and, most importantly, for our amazing listeners.”

She continued, “Radio offers something that no other medium can. There’s a unique intimacy in live radio that’s raw and unscripted, and that’s what makes it so special. The connection with the audience is immediate and real — it’s a bond that’s unmatched. Only theater comes close, but radio takes it even further. When I’m on air, it feels like I’m having a personal conversation with each listener, and that’s a feeling I can’t replicate anywhere else. It’s where I truly feel at home.”

Meruleo Group Principal/Co-Founder Luis Armona said, “It’s an honor to extend our relationship with Angie, one of the most iconic figures in Latin entertainment. Her impact on Cali 93.9 over the last five years has been key to our growth, and we’re thrilled to continue this partnership as we expand our reach even further.”

Head of Audio Brands Pio Ferro added, “In times like these, we could all use a good laugh in the morning. And La Vale is the best at it. Angie’s creativity, humor, and talent are in a league of their own, and we’re thrilled to have her for years to come!”
