KKFN Seeks Program Director As Raj Sharan Exits

Bonneville is seeking a new Program Director for Sports “104.3 The Fan” KKFN-FM Longmont/Denver CO and its DenverSports.com.

A company job posting states, “As Program Director, you will lead one of the most dynamic sports media brands in the country, with a clear expectation to grow the Denver Sports audiences over-the-air, online and on all platforms. You will develop and execute the brand strategy and adhere to Bonneville’s values to build up, connect, inform, and celebrate Denver’s community and families.”

Barrett Sports reported on Tuesday that Raj Sharan exited the station. Sharan had served as Program Director since February 2019 after three years as Assistant Program Director. He previously spent five years at Front Range Sports Network in Denver with stints as a producer, update anchor, traffic reporter, beat reporter, host, and finally Assistant Program Director.

KKFN-FM currently ranks sixth overall in the very Sports heavy Denver market with a 4.5 share despite not having play-by-play rights to any of the major local teams. KSE Media’s “Altitude Sports Radio” 92.5 KKSE-FM has a 2.0 share with the NBA’s Nuggets and NHL’s Avalanche. iHeartMedia News/Talk 850/94.1 KOA is tied with KKFN-FM with an afternoon drive Sports show and rights to the NFL’s Broncos, MLB’s Rockies, and University of Colorado.
