Cox Media Group Country “93Q” KKBQ Pasadena/Houston TX is seeking a new afternoon host as Caitlin ‘CJ’ Johnson has exited the station after three years.
Johnson joined KKBQ in October 2019 and then added APD duties one year later. Prior to joining KKBQ, Johnson spent seven years at Cox CHR 95.1 WAPE Jacksonville. She began at WAPE as a sales assistant in 2012 before becoming night host in 2014 and Music Director/afternoon host in 2016. She continued to track middays at WAPE from Houston until her exit last week.
Cox’s job posting seeks a new afternoon host that “will generate dynamic content on air and on social that will engage 93Q’s active audience in the afternoon. The candidate should excel in all areas of social media / digital including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc. The on-air host will be fun, compelling, engaging, professional and understand how to create great radio in a PPM-friendly environment”.
