KISS DJ Tinea Taylor to take over Friday early breakfast in March on BBC Radio 1

Tinea Taylor is to host BBC Radio 1’s Friday early breakfast slot during March, as part of a monthly rotation.

Tinea joins Radio 1 from KISS FM where she hosted the Hype Charts and presented on their sister station, Kisstory.

During her time at KISS FM she presented and DJ’d at global events such as Wireless, V Fest, the MOBO Awards, MTV EMAs and Fashion Week.

Tinea Taylor says: “It’s such an honour to be part of Early Breakfast Fridays for the month of March. I’ve loved the work of Radio 1 for many years so I’m super excited to have the opportunity to be heard on such a prestigious station.

“I’m looking forward to connecting with the Radio 1 listeners, having fun and playing some huge tunes. Exciting times!”

Aled Haydn-Jones (Head of BBC Radio 1) says: “We’re so happy to have Tinea join Radio 1 and can’t wait to hear more of her over the next month.

“It’s always exciting to see the talent that this show brings. It’s been a great success for the station over the last few years.”
