KIRO Rebrands As Seattle Sports

Bonneville has rebranded Sports “710 ESPN Seattle” KIRO Seattle to “Seattle Sports“.

No lineup changes accompany the rebranding, which comes amidst expectations of iHeartMedia moving Sports 950 KJR to the 93.3 FM signal most recently operating as Hip Hop KUBE.

KIRO is the local flagship for the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks and MLB’s Seattle Mariners.

Bonneville Seattle announced that 710 ESPN Seattle is now Seattle Sports.

The flagship home of the Seattle Mariners and Seattle Seahawks will still feature the same great insider content and programming, now with a new name showcasing the commitment to the best in local Seattle Sports.

Seattle Sports is live on the air at 710 AM, online at SeattleSports.com, and streaming on the go with the Seattle Sports app.

“Our focus and investment has always been live and local,” said Cathy Cangiano, Senior Vice President and Market Manager of Bonneville Seattle. “We are more than a radio station. We are Seattle Sports, a content creator that distributes the best in Seattle Sports across multiple platforms.”

Seattle Sports content is created by Mike Salk, Justin Barnes, Jake Heaps, Stacy Rost, Bob Stelton and Dave Wyman, as well as regular contributors Michael Bumpus, John Clayton, Shannon Drayer, and Brock Huard.

Seattle Sports will continue to be the exclusive ESPN affiliate in the Seattle market and home to the Seattle Sports Radio
Network.

Bonneville Seattle also operates KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM, 770 KTTH and MyNorthwest.com and is owned by Bonneville International.
