Kira Smethers Joins Cat Country 96 As Morning Co-Host

Cumulus Media’s “Cat Country 96” 96.1 WCTO Easton PA/107.1 WWYY Belvedere NJ has appointed Kira Smethers as morning co-host alongside Sam Malone starting Tuesday, February 15.

Smethers most recently served as a Sales Assistant for Lotus Communications Las Vegas and hosts the “Finding My Perfect Awkward” podcast. She also has worked in promotions for Audacy Las Vegas and on-air at Hot AC “Mix 94.1” KMXB and CHR 98.5 KLUC and is a regular panelist on Shawn Tempesta’s streaming video “Free4All” show.

Smethers fills the vacancy created by Hannah Byrom’s departure last October to relocate to Nashville.

CUMULUS MEDIA announces that it has appointed Kira Smethers as Co-Host, Mornings, on CAT Country 96 (WCTO-FM)) in Allentown, PA. Smether debuts on CAT Country 96 on Tuesday, February 15th, and joins station veteran and Morning Host Sam Malone on The CAT Morning Crew Monday through Friday from 5AM-10AM. CAT Country is also simulcast on WWYY FM 107.1 in the Poconos.

Smethers joins Cumulus Allentown from Lotus Broadcasting in Las Vegas, NV. Prior to that, she was a part-time on-air personality at Audacy/Entercom Las Vegas. Smethers is part of the “Finding My Perfect Awkward” and “Free4All” podcasts. She is also a Camp Broadcast Alum, where aspiring broadcasters interview celebrities and learn from current broadcasters.
