After recently rebranding “710 ESPN” KIRO Seattle as “Seattle Sports 710“, Bonneville is making a similar change in Sacramento as “Sports 1140” KHTK is now “Sactown Sports 1140“.
KHTK will continue to feature Carmichael Dave and Jason Ross in mornings from 6-9am, while Ramie Makhlouf joins the station to team with Nick Cattles in afternoons. Makhlouf joins the station from the same timeslot at Audacy’s “1250 The Fan” WSSP Milwaukee. Makhlouf was on his second stint at WSSP rejoining in 2020 after an 18 month run in afternoons at Hubbard’s “Skor North” KSTP Minneapolis.
KHTK also carries Sacramento Kings basketball, Las Vegas Raiders football, and Oakland A’s baseball.
Bonneville Sacramento announced that Sports 1140 KHTK is now Sactown Sports.
The flagship station of the Sacramento Kings will still feature the same great insider content and programming, now with a new name showcasing the commitment to the best in local Northern California Sports.
Sactown Sports is live on the air at 1140 AM, online at SactownSports.com, and streaming on the go with the Sactown Sports app.
“We are all excited to transition KHTK to a digital platform,” said Steve Cottingim, Senior Vice President and Market Manager of Bonneville Sacramento. “SactownSports.com will be a trusted source of sports news and information for the Sacramento Kings, NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, and more.”
Sactown Sports content is created by Amiliano “Amil” Fragoso, Franklin Cartoscelli, Chris Watkins and Joe Jarosz, featuring the on-air talents of Nick Cattles, Ramie Makhlouf, Carmichael Dave and Jason Ross.
The new Cattles and Ramie show in the afternoon and the Carmichael Dave show with Jason Ross in the morning will provide local sports talk and entertainment.
The radio station will continue to air Sacramento Kings, Raiders, NFL, and A’s play-by-play, coupled with local sports talk.
