Delta Media Conservative Talk “News/Talk 98.5” 1520 KFXZ/98.5 K253CO Lafayette LA is adding the 740 KTRH Houston based Michael Berry Show for afternoons as part of a schedule revamp triggered by the end of Todd Schnitt’s syndicated show.
Berry will be heard weekdays from 4-7pm. He joins a lineup that includes David and Londa Austins in mornings from 6-8am, Carol Ross’ “The Ross Report” from 2-4pm, and syndicated talkers Glenn Beck, Markley, Van Camp & Robbins, Joe Pags, Ben Shapiro, and Lars Larson.
Michael Berry is thrilled about being heard in Acadiana.
The Orange, Texas native grew up close to the Texas-Louisiana state line and has long had an appreciation for the culture and people of Southwest Louisiana.
“Needless to say, growing up on the Texas-Louisiana border,” Berry said. “It’s a huge thrill to get to visit with the good people of Acadiana daily on our show.”
The conservative talk show host based in Houston will begin visiting with listeners in Southwest Louisiana. “The Michael Berry Show” will debut on News Talk 98.5 FM — The Talk on Acadiana on Monday, July 31st. The show will air weekday afternoons from 4 to 7.
“America is often portrayed by national media as if it is one amalgamated culture of Starbucks and Target,” Berry said. “It’s not. Our differences make us special and more fun. Places like Lafayette are more interesting than anywhere, America, because of the unique eccentricities. The culture, the accents, the cuisine, the quirks. Adding these listeners to our audience is sprinkling a spice into our show that we hope to incorporate and celebrate.”
Berry graduated magna cum laude from Houston with a B.A. in Political Science, Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Texas School of Law and a M.L. in international commercial law from the University of Nottingham.
Berry has worked as an attorney, real estate developer, and is a former three-term Houston City Councilman. Berry also was awarded the “Talk Personality of the Year” award at the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
“From New York to Los Angeles, Portland to Pensacola, our listeners are going to love sharing stories with our new listeners on NewsTalk 98.5 FM — The Talk of Acadiana,” Berry said.
Make sure to listen to Berry’s unique take on politics, BBQ, music and married life, weekdays from 4 to 7 p.m. on NewsTalk 98.5 FM — The Talk of Acadiana.
