North Texas Public Broadcasting has announced the addition of Andrew Garcia as its new Morning Edition host on Public News/Talk 90.1 KERA-FM Dallas.
Garcia joins KERA from “Cap Radio” in Sacramento where he has been midday anchor and producer since November after previously hosting weekends and fill-ins since August 2020. The California native also was an advisor for Sacramento State University’s 91.9 KSSU Sacramento following his graduation from the university.
Garcia states, “I am so excited to join the KERA team. Joining the listeners of North Texas on their morning commutes is a real honor. I hope to be your friendly, trustworthy guide through the news of the day in our nation, our world and North Texas.”
“We’re very excited to welcome Andrew,” says Jeff Penfield, Program Director for KERA News. “He has a true passion for public radio and its essential services. I think North Texans are going to hear and feel that every morning.”
