“We’re delighted to unveil a dynamic new chapter for 96.9 The Eagle in Sacramento as we move Justin Case to kick off our mornings and introduce the seasoned talent of Ken Anthony in our afternoons,” said Stacey Kauffman, Regional Vice President, Audacy Sacramento. “We’re confident this new lineup will offer our listeners fresh and engaging content that resonates throughout the day and position this heritage brand for greater success in the future.”

“I’m thrilled to join KSEG and Audacy in Sacramento,” said Anthony. “96.9 The Eagle has consistently been one of the highest-rated rock stations in the country and to be able to carry on the station’s legacy in afternoon drive is an honor and privilege I don’t take lightly. As a Northern California native, raised on some of the greatest Rock radio stations in the country, I can’t think of a more perfect opportunity to return to my roots in radio and Nor-Cal! I also want to thank Stacey Kauffman, Aaron Roberts, Vince Richards and Dave Richards for their confidence and support. I’m joining a tremendous team and am ready to rock Sacramento!”

Anthony served as Program Director at KSJO in San Jose in the late 80s. In 1989, he elevated now Audacy sister station KLOL in Houston to record ratings and national prominence, earning accolades such as being named one of the “Ten Best” PDs. Anthony’s return to California in 1991 saw him direct KLOS in Los Angeles to the #1 spot in the 25-54 Adults demographic, securing Radio MVP of the Year in 1991 and Billboard Magazine’s Major Market Program Director of the Year in 1992. Post-KLOS, Anthony introduced Alternative radio to St. Louis with KPNT (The Point), earning the 1993 Alternative Radio MVP of the Year. Returning to Los Angeles in 1994, he programmed Classic Rock KLSX before founding Radio Think Tank in 1996. Anthony’s career continued with roles such as Rock Editor at Radio & Records in 2004 and joining All Access as Rock Editor in 2012. His on-air presence also includes hosting on KLOS and KSAN from 2015 to 2019.
