After two and a half years programming Cumulus Media Adult R&B “Magic 102.5” KTCX Beaumont TX, Kelly Mac has resigned stating that Cumulus is merging the Beaumont operations into its Lake Charles LA offices.
Mac, who also hosted middays at KTCX, states that Cumulus’ Beaumont employees are now being required to relocate to Lake Charles or make a 130 mile round trip commute daily. In announcing her resignation Mac writes, “It’s been an honor to be a part of the very talented, unique, and hardworking Cumulus Beaumont team. I’m extremely proud and pleased with the work we’ve done to enhance the overall branding, ratings, and revenue of KTCX online, on air, and in the community. Serving this team & community has been rewarding and very fulfilling. I’ll forever be thankful for the experience and opportunity. Also, a special thanks to Kenny Smoov for his solid leadership, guidance & coaching.”
Mac joined KTCX in June 2019 succeeding the late Adrian Scott. She previously programmed Adult R&B 106.7 WTLC-FM and Gospel “1310 The Light” WTLC Indianapolis and has served as APD for WJMZ-FM Greenville, WGCI Chicago, WDAS/WUSL Philadelphia, and WBAV Charlotte during her career.
