NRG Media has announced the addition of Keely Byars as their new Omaha General Manager.
Byars comes to NRG from the print and digital industries with stints as General Manager and Advertising Director for Lee Enterprises Quad Cities, Regional President for Lee Enterprises Charlottesville VA, VP/Sales for Berkshire Hathaway Media Omaha, Chief Revenue Officer for TapOnIt and Director Of Franchise Performance for Hello Garage.

Byars succeeds Mark Shecterle, who departed for the VP/Market Manager duties at Cox Media Group Tulsa in March.
Keely Byars is the new General Manager of Omaha’s seven-station group, KZOT-AM, La Nueva, KOIL-AM, Power 106.9; Sweet 98.5, The Keg and The Zone.

Byars has held top leadership positions with Lee Enterprises and Berkshire Hathaway Media, including being a Group Publisher in Charlottesville, VA, and the VP of Sales at the Omaha World-Herald.
