‘Julian On The Radio’ Available Following KPLZ Flip

Following Monday’s flip of Lotus Communications AC “Star 101.5” KPLZ-FM Seattle to Country, afternoon host ‘Julian On The Radio’ Nieh has exited the station and is on the hunt for a new position.

Nieh had been with KPLZ since Lotus took over the station in December 2021. He previously has had stops across the country including afternoons at “Wild 94.9” KYLD San Francisco and “104.7 Kiss-FM” KZZP Phoenix, mornings and nights at “B96” WBBM-FM Chicago and nights at “Hot 99.5” WIHT Washington DC. He was also a prolific voicetracker with daily shifts at stations including “Movin 92.5” KQMV Seattle and 99.7 WDJX Louisville as well as weekends at “99.7 Now” KMVQ San Francisco.

Nieh shares, “I absorb and learn from every experience. Seattle has given me great memories, as well as opportunities to grow my format versatility, along with my on-air + on-line acumen. With that said, it’s no secret we are in challenging economic times so I get it I have performed in my daypart consistently, and am available for meaningful conversations now. Ideally, I’d love to hop back into a CHR, HOT AC, and/or Throwback or Rhythmic format, in AM or PM Drive.”

He also comes with recommendations from his most recent managers. Lotus President/CEO Jim Kalmenson states, “Julian was a very popular personality on Star FM. I am sure our format change will create a big ratings opportunity for whoever becomes his next home station.” KPLZ Program Director Jess Connell adds, “Julian is one of the most unique communicators I’ve had the chance to work with. Genuinely, always interested in the goals set forth, asking all the right questions to hit the target, and deliver best execution. I always enjoyed the chance to collaborate with him. Add to that his incredible skills on social, and you’ve got a communicator who knows that it takes multiple platforms to reach today’s audience, and the passion to do it and do it with excellence.”

Julian can be reached on email at julianontheradio3@gmail.com or on social media or @JulianOnTheRadio. He has demos available at his website JulianOnTheRadio.com
