John Beck Departs As iHeartMedia St. Louis/Indianapolis Area President

John Beck KSHE iHeartMedia St. LouisAfter four years with iHeartMedia first as St. Louis Market President and later Area President for St. Louis and Indianapolis, John Beck has departed.

Beck joined iHeartMedia in February 2021 after serving a Managing Partner in Stone Canyon Media Group’s Flagstaff AZ cluster. He began his career at WFFM Pittsburgh, CBS Radio Detroit, and KKCI Kansas City before joining 94.7 KSHE St. Louis as General Manager in 1984. He would stay through multiple acquisitions rising to Market President until Emmis split their cluster between Entercom and Hubbard in 2018. He attempted to purchase a St. Louis area translator in 2020 but the deal never closed.

Beck commented, “I want to sincerely thank all of my colleagues, St. Louis and Indy leaders, and iHeart corporate leadership for giving me a chance to make a difference in St. Louis and Indianapolis. It has been an amazing four years full of accomplishments. I will truly miss working with my iHeart family. I will now have more time to devote to my own family, consulting business, legislative advocacy and the various charities civic organizations that mean so much to me.” He will also remain a trustee of the National Association of Broadcasters Political Action Committee (NABPAC), Legislative Chair of the Missouri Broadcasters Association, along with other charitable and civic involvements.
