Compass Media Networks’ syndicated Conservative Talker ‘Joe Pags‘ Pagliarulo has exited his longtime flagship station as part of iHeartMedia’s ongoing layoffs.
Pagliarulo had been based at iHeart News/Talk 1200 WOAI San Antonio since 2005 where he had been heard from 5-8pm. Prior to San Antonio, he mainly served as a television news anchor with time in Flint, Grand Rapids, and Lansing MI and Albany NY, but began his career in radio in West Palm Beach FL and later worked at WXDX Detroit, WHAM Rochester and WGY Albany. After first being carried by a handful of other iHeart stations including KPRC Houston, KHOW Denver, KTLK Minneapolis, and KEX Portland, his show entered national syndication in 2014 as a temporary replacement for Premiere Networks’ “America Now” in 2014 before launching his own show with Compass Media Networks in 2015. That show is unaffected by his exit from WOAI and will continue on the remainder of his affiliates. Pagliarulo had signed a contract extension with WOAI through 2026 earlier this year.
