Joe Hawk Takes Afternoons At 107.7 The Bone

Cumulus Media Classic Rock “107.7 The Bone” KSAN San Mateo/San Francisco has announced the promotion of Joe ‘Hawk’ Ceccotti to afternoon host.

Ceccotti has been with KSAN since 2013 starting as an intern and most recently serving as a weekend/fill-in host. He takes the afternoon slot that had been held by former Program Director Dominic ‘Zakk’ Zaccagnini until his departure from the station in June.

CUMULUS MEDIA (NASDAQ: CMLS) announces that it has appointed Redwood City native Joe “Joe Hawk” Ceccotti to On-Air Host, Afternoon Drive, for Bay Area Classic Rock station, 107.7 The Bone/KSAN-FM. Ceccotti can be heard on The Bone Monday through Friday from 2:00pm-7:00pm.

Ceccotti joins the weekday on-air lineup after more than eight years with The Bone, which he joined in 2013 as an intern for the station’s popular morning program, The Lamont & Tonelli Show. Since then, he has covered all on-air shifts as a part-time fill-in host for The Bone. Ceccotti began his radio career as Morning Host for KSJS-FM at San Jose State University, where he earned a B.A. degree in Radio and Television/Broadcast Communications. He has also made a name for himself in the local craft beer industry and hosts a new podcast for The Bone called BONE-A-Fide Brews, to bring light to smaller, up-and-coming breweries popping up around the Bay Area.

Chasta Michaelis, Program Director, 107.7 The Bone, said: “Joe has been a very important part of KSAN for the last eight years and has proved his worth time and time again with his diligent work ethic behind the scenes, as well as his great on-air performance. He is a true asset for us and I’m thrilled to be able to make him our full-time Afternoon Host.”

Ceccotti commented: “I’m super excited to not only host the PM drive for such a legendary station but to represent the station that has become my home for the past eight years. Becoming a Bone jock and to be associated with such names, past and present, as Lamont & Tonelli, Steven Seaweed, Nikki Black, Baby Huey and Chasta is more than I could’ve ever hoped for.”
