SummitMedia has announced the hiring of Joe ‘J-Dub’ Dobbins as Program Director of CHR “Star 102.1” WWST Sevierville/Knoxville and Hip Hop “Hot 104.5” WKHT Knoxville TN. He will lead the imaging, content, promotions, and branding for the two stations including promotions, streams, on-demand content, digital assets, and social media as well as hold an undefined on-air shift on WWST.
Dobbins joins SummitMedia from Alpha Media CHR 106.3 KFRX Lincoln NE where he has served as PD and morning host since November 2020. He had a brief stint as PD/afternoon host at Alpha’s 99.7 WDJX Louisville from September 2019 until July 2020 and spent fifteen years (11 as Program Director) of Cumulus CHR “Hot 101” WHOT-FM Youngstown OH.

Dobbins comes to SummitMedia after four years at Alpha Media Lincoln, where he has served as Program Director and air talent for KFRX and WDJX. He has also worked for Cumulus Media Group and Clear Channel, now iHeart Media, in his 19-plus-year career. He will also serve as a WWST on-air personality in Knoxville.
