Jeetz Joins Terry Boyd's World In Mornings At KGON

Audacy Classic Rock 92.3 KGON Portland has announced the addition of Joe ‘Jeetz’ Reder to the “Terry Boyd’s World” morning show.

Jeetz most recently hosted weekends at Audcacy Rock 99.9 KISW Seattle. He has also programmed 94.7 KZND Anchorage AK, morning show producer at Rhythmic AC “Hot 103.7” KHTP Seattle, afternoon host at “Rock 98.9” KVRQ Seattle and co-hosted mornings at “X107.5” KXTE Las Vegas.

He takes the slot on the morning show that had been held by Brian Shannon since July 2019. Shannon was a longtime producer/co-host of the Stevens & Pruett morning show on KLOL Houston and KEGL Dallas as Eddie ‘The Boner’ Sanchez through the 80s until mid-2000s. He later served as a talk show host on 97.5 KFNC and news anchor on 92.1 KROI Houston.

Audacy welcomes Jeetz as morning show co-host for 92.3 KGON (KGON-FM) in Portland. Jeetz will join “Terry Boyd’s World,” weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. PT, effective June 16.

“Jeetz has proven himself to be a tireless, fearless entertainer since we plucked him from the promotions street team and put him on KISW back in 2004,” said Kim Martinez, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Portland. “Terry has been a winner in Portland for years, and with his addition, we’ve put together a world-class team to take ‘Terry Boyd’s World’ and this legendary brand to new heights.”

“It’s a beautiful day. From this great city, to this legendary classic rock station, to the staff, to the leadership, to the company, this gig checks so many best-case scenario boxes for me I literally couldn’t have hand picked a better opportunity,” said Jeetz. “Though what really got this deal done was they promised Remy Maxwell would DJ my kid’s fifth birthday party. I’d like to thank Kim Martinez, Terry Boyd, Doug Abernethy, and especially Ryan Castle for always believing in me. PDX, let’s get weird!”

Jeetz spent the bulk of his career in various roles at sister station 99.9 KISW (KISW-FM) in Seattle. He also served as Program Director for KZND in Anchorage, morning show Producer for sister station Hot 103.7 (KHTP-FM) in Seattle, morning show co-host for sister station X107.5 (KXTE-FM) in Las Vegas and afternoon drive host on Hubbard’s KVRQ in Seattle.
