Jeana Gondek Joins KOA As Morning Co-host

Gondek joins KOA from Cox Media Group’s 104.5 WOKV-FM Jacksonville where she served as Assistant News Director and morning news anchor for the past two years. Prior to joining WOKV-FM, Gondek served as News Director and morning anchor for Midwest Communications’ WKZO Kalamazoo MI and began her career at iHeartMedia’s 1300 WOOD/106.9 WOOD-FM Grand Rapids as a traffic reporter, morning show producer, and newscaster.

iHeartMedia Denver announced today that Jeana Gondek has been named Colorado’s Morning News’ co-host on 850 KOA for Denver, effective immediately. iHeartMedia Denver has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing more than eight stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.

iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Colorado’s Morning News’ co-host, Jeana will be responsible for co-hosting the heritage morning news show with Marty Lenz. She will report to Dave Tepper, Program Director for 850 KOA at iHeartMedia Denver.

Jeana joins Denver from WOKV, CMG Jacksonville, where she most recently served as the Assistant News Director and Morning News Anchor. She also served as the News Director and Morning News Anchor for WKZO. She began her career at WOOD radio and is a graduate of Grand Valley State University.
