Jason Rosam is leaving the BBC as the corporation ends its BBC Radio London and shared early breakfast show.
Jason tweeted today to say he’s off after three years on the programme and 15 years at the BBC.
He said: “While I didn’t want this day to come, I’m filled with gratitude for the time we’ve spent together. Thank you for your calls, messages, the stories, friendships and making the show the best part of my day.”
The programme airs on the BBC local radio network from 5am till 6am, and BBC Radio London from 5am till 7am. RadioToday understands the Radio London breakfast show will instead start at 6am, in line with the rest of the local radio network.
Jason continued: “I hope to be back on the airwaves soon but stay tuned till the show ends on Friday 5th January.”
For now, Jason will continue his work with community station Riverside Radio and his work at the Community Media Association along with freelance work.
We’re awaiting a comment from the BBC regarding what will air between 5am and 6am across the entire network.
After 15 incredible years @BBCRadioLondon and 3 unforgettable years on Early Breakfast across #BBCLocalRadio they’ve decided to replace our show with something new.
